In our trailer, we used various pieces of kit to create the whole final product, we have a video below that shows the editing software that we used to bring all of our clips together and also what effects we used for the film. The software we used was Sony Vegas Pro 11.
Throughout my whole media assignment, I learnt about how I could
upload various different files and to be able to successfully upload them to
other social media networks, an example was to upload it to YouTube, where we
kept a database of uploaded videos on what we did throughout the whole course,
and people around the world were able to see the videos I uploaded. I gained
most of my views from Europe and the United States. I also learned how to
master the uploaded and producing PowerPoint presentations through the slide
share and uploaded them to my blog.
I also learnt that the film industries rely on the way they
use cross media convergence and multimedia platforms and they do this to reach
out their target audience. An example of this is that some industries rely on
websites such as YouTube to help promote their films and also where the public
can view their trailers and advertise their production. This turned out to be
quite effective as it would help a film increase their profit and increase
their success in the film. In terms of the quality, these film industries rely
on these highly developed software and the introduction of 3D has taken it to
the next level and now industries are using 3D to expect to have their film
become a success. Avatar used 3D motion capture that matched every detail and
movement made by the actors/actresses, and this was the first time that this was
ever used in a film and it revolutionised technology used in films and now this
has led to a higher expectations of films in 3D.
To enhance the accessibility to my audience and to the
examiners, from YouTube, I embedded the videos that I wanted to put on my blog
and then placed them in one of my posts on Blogger, which is another site that
is owned by Google. All sites are very popular and because of Google being the
top search engine in the world and its recognisable brand image. On Blogger,
all of my evaluations, Research and Planning are on this site and it is very
easy and accessible to use as I would be able to update or post a blog
everywhere I went as there is an app that can be downloaded, it is also very
easy to access for my teachers, examiners and my target audience.
In our trailer, we used the Sony HDR-HC3, this was because
it was very easy and straight forward to use the camera as all it did was take
a couple of attempts to get used to it and master the settings and handling of
this handheld camcorder. The level of quality of the filming was due to the
camcorder as it contributed to different effects a high definition filming.
The high-tech technology has developed a huge amount over
the years and industries are now heavily reliant on the technology and
up-to-date equipment and this is to keep up with ever-developing world and its
expectations. Camera quality and editing has increased dramatically and evolved
as there is so many things that can be achieved through editing and every
single industry uses high class, top-of-the-range software and this is used to
produce the best quality films possible. Google is an easy way to search for
these software’s and is my personal choice.
